red + thank you!
“Grandmother lived out in the wood, half a league from the village, and just as Little Red Riding Hood entered the wood, a wolf met her. Red Riding Hood did not know what a wicked creature he was, and was not at all afraid of him.” ~”Little Red Riding Hood,” Brothers Grimm
This one was the result of a monthly photography group challenge. Our original, self-imposed assignment was only to take a picture of a “gateway.” Pfft, where’s the challenge in that, we said? Let’s throw a composite requirement in there for good measure. After playing in Photoshop with this one, all I can say is wow, Photoshop is an *amazing* tool. Learning to tame that beast is tricky(!) but fun. Many thanks to Jon Gos’ tutorial on how to achieve the reflective effect.
On a personal note, an ever-thankful and deeply heart-felt THANK YOU to all of you who made it out to the Herndon ArtSpace reception last night. It was terrific to feel so much love and support in one place from a group of such amazing photographers and friends. Though my piece didn’t win, your company made me feel like the luckiest photog in the whole dang gallery. Big hugs!
