Day 249: Braided
Today’s shot is of braided metal. It’s actually a bracelet, so it’s curved. In hindsight, I’m not sure my telephoto was the way to go here. As I don’t have a macro lens, I usually default to it when doing close work, thinking it will get me the closest to an object than any other lens in my bag. The downside of the telephoto is that focus, even at f/8, tends to fall off quickly. I also cropped heavily and gave this one unusual dimensions to get closer to the portion of the subject I preferred.
