Day 234: The Way You Wear Your Hat
24/30 of 30 Days of Music
Inspired by “They Can’t Take That Away From Me” and of course I prefer Ella’s & Louis’ version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhCXXOhQ4zw
So…a little late night ambition struck me. I know I’m *way* past my midnight deadline, but I’ll reiterate, I’ve made the deadline as long as I *take* the shot within the day. You can keep me honest by checking my photo taken time on Flickr, top right, just under my moniker.
I’m a fan of René Magritte. If you’re familiar with his work, today’s shot will look familiar. If you’re not familiar with him, you’ve obviously been living under a rock, and I urge you to check him out when you get a chance. Here’s a start. Anyways, I’ve been wanting to do a shot like this for a while. And I’m delighted to have done it finally. I got a little crazy with the processing, but I figured new territory is okay once in a while. Everything you see in the shot is real, except for the background, which was edited in Elements. When taking the shot, the hat was actually stuck to a dowel and shoved down the back of my jacket. I just edited out the dowel.
