Day 128: Beet Red
I was doing a little vegetable juicing today…kale, beets, etc., and I thought I’d take a picture of a halved beet, because, well, I’ve never done that before. So here it is, prior to juicing and consumption, on my kitchen table, with a bit of water sprinkled in for added interest. Also a little different than usual, I used a piece of tissue paper as my diffuser…just taped it across the face of the flash. I thought it cut the harsh light pretty well and concluded it’s decent in a pinch for close up stuff. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Jennifer over at Quirk’n It, who totally came to my mind while shooting today. She takes lots of cool veggie picts, among other things. Check her out if you get a chance!
