Day 66: “Slow but steady wins the race.”

Today’s shot is no. 14 in the Literary Series. It was inspired by Aesop’s “The Tortoise and the Hare,” the classic story of patience and persistence. Every time I get frustrated with anything, I think of the plodding little tortoise who always wins and the impatient and shortsighted hare. Like my Mama used to say (“Mama” was the affectionate name we gave my grandmother), “I may be slow, but I’m sure.” Sure that if I keep going I’ll end up <i>somewhere</i>, where ever that may be. Plod, plod, plod…
