Day 65: “One can’t have anything in this life…”
“…without paying for it.” This is shot no. 13 in the Literary Series. Thank you, Miss Fatima, for the lovely idea of shooting Ibsen’s A Doll’s House. I felt like tinkering more with doll furniture today, and a little compiling, and a little editing and feathering, and lighting. A lot of work went into this one, and I know it’s not perfect but it was fun making it. That’s works for me.
Shot 1, dollhouse: 4 sec @ f/9, 18mm, ISO 100, Canon 480 EXII @ 1/64, camera right
Shot 2, “doll”: 1/5 sec @ f/9, 18mm, ISO 100, Canon 480 EXII @ 1/8 in 43″ Wescott silver lined umbrella
How I did it: Compiling, compiling, compiling. I took a shot of the dollhouse room. Strobe was shot from camera right parallel and across the ceiling of the room. I took a shot of the “doll.” Strobe/umbrella combo was camera right, but there was also a nice window glow camera left. To better transition the camera left window glow, I put a soft omni post light on the lamp to try to make it glow into the room a bit.
